Ecommerce Content Specialist
The E-commerce Content Specialist plays a vital role on the ecommerce team and reports directly to the Content Supervisor. This position is responsible for a range of activities related to ecommerce content management such as seasonal launches of new items across all digital sales channels (i.e. Amazon, Wayfair, Target, etc), as well as content creation and optimization for these channels. This role is a hands-on position focused on handling day-to-day tasks and requires strong follow-through, high attention to detail, excellent time and project management skills and strong inter-personal skills to effectively collaborate with various departments and external contractors.
This position is located in Vancouver, BC.
• E-commerce product content management
o Manage product content across websites and marketplaces using a Product Information Management software, ensuring product detail pages are accurate and optimized
• New Product/Design Launches
o Work with design, product development and operations teams to ensure all digital content is complete and accurate for new product launches. This includes copywriting, SEO, and digital asset creation.
o Take ownership of new product launches on marketplace channels (such as Amazon, Wayfair) including item set up and product merchandising, ensuring brand content is clear, effective and beautiful
o Implement effective Amazon content optimization strategies to enhance the customer experience and increase conversion (creating variations, A+ pages, etc) and/or collaborate with external ecommerce service providers/experts for content management
o Keep up to date with marketplace requirements such as changing algorithms and content requirements
o Respond to consumer questions, as needed
• Content Optimization
o Conduct SEO research and best practices for a variety of channels and write copy as necessary.
o Using channel insights and analytics to provide content enhancements and opportunities to improve KPI performance
o Identify trends for product assortment
• Content Creation
o Assist with photoshoots and videoshoots, liaise with contractors
o Create graphics such as product infographics or digital ads for PPC campaigns
Has 2+ years' experience managing marketplace accounts, specifically Amazon Seller Central, and any of the following are an asset: Wayfair, Target, Walmart, Best Buy, Overstock, Home Depot, etc.
Has proven experience of increasing conversion rates through content optimization
A strong understanding of using a PIM/PXM software (Salsify experience a plus)
Experience managing marketplace accounts, specifically both Amazon Seller Central and Vendor Central, and any of the following are an asset: Wayfair, Target, Walmart, Best Buy, Overstock, Home Depot etc
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Understanding of CMS platforms
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite a strong asset
Has experience in ERP system and reporting such as Sage X3 and Sage SEI
Has a strong eye for detail and excellent creative problem solving skills
Can work within strict deadlines and always looking for ways to improved workflows
Has excellent written and oral communication skills, paired with a robust style of collaboration
Loves design, colour, beautiful products and is ready to share our brand stories with the world
